Development of the first Xbox

When the PlayStation showed that the console market was popular, two Microsoft employees were born with the idea of ​​creating a console that should be created from DirectX while dominating the console market. When the Xbox was in development at all it failed to create it with the Windows operating system that powered everything from Microsoft. The developers, therefore, decided to create their own operating system, but when Bill Gates found out, he began to protest against the new operating system. He ran into the room where they were developing the Xbox and started telling them the development of the Xbox, and that he would cancel it all. Fortunately, one employee told him that if they stopped developing, PlayStation would have no competition and would dominate the console market. Bill Gates acknowledged that it would be a mistake to cancel the console and let the PlayStation dominate the console market. He told them he would give them everything they needed and left the room. It was the strangest meeting for all the employees on the Xbox team.

The first Xbox didn't do well at the beginning, as the PlayStation was already a people's favorite and had sold 120 miles since the first Xbox. consoles. Microsoft was desperate, so he canceled console development and left the market for PS.

Return and success

After a long time when the PlayStation 2 was popular, Microsoft decided to give the Xbox another chance. With the return came the Xbox 360, which was to be released before the PS3. Because Microsoft didn't have much time from the beginning, it panicked and released the Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 had a lot of bugs and often went wrong. They had to repair it several times so that it was already in perfect shape and raised the warranty for users from 2 years to 3 years. After the modifications, the Xbox finally started to thrive and even overtook the PS3. Xbox sold 80 mil. consoles and PlayStation 75 mil.


Xbox 360 S (2005)

Kinect, new consoles, exclusivities, ...

Microsoft has launched the Kinect project, a motion capture device. Kinect was not the first sensor on the console, before it the PlayStation and Nintendo tried a similar thing. Kinect was popular.


Xbox currently has exclusivities like HALO, Forza, Gears of War, etc. At that time, the Xbox was about games that were supposed to be exclusive to the PlayStation, but thanks to a good marketing team, they also got a few games on the Xbox.


The latest Xbox today is the Xbox Series X, which is more powerful than its PS5 competitor. Since the Xbox 360, there has been a generation of ONE. Which included the Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X (Project Scorpio).
